about this site

For the past few years, I've been maintaining my own personal website. It's gaudy and looks fresh out of the 90s, very much “graphic design is my passion. I wanted to put it on applications to show off my coding. But, I'd actually keel over and die of embarrassment if I had to show it to any sort of admissions council. I'd implode if I had to show schools my kitschy web pages dedicated to my favorite bands and TV shows. I wanted to make something I could be proud to show as a testament to my ability, y'know?

I wanted "professional site” to be an HTML resource for the people I work with at my local YMCA. I coded it in an afternoon, and it was at best, ok. It did the job, but it was too disconnected from who I was, and whatever I did, w3schools already did 100 times better. So, I turned this into a personal portfolio site.

Now this site exists as a way to show the tech-related projects I've worked on, as well as a blog that I update... on occasion (My apologies to anyone who visits this site to read a teenager rant about STEM). Here I hope you'll get to see my passion for tech and the role it plays in my life, as well as get to know me! Yay :D
